Photographer's Notes

Founded 2006. Housed in a former auto dealership designed by Albert Kahn. The building is best known for the rotating wall-text installation on its Woodward Avenue facade — one recent iteration read 'EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT.' MOCAD completed an extensive renovation (envelope, windows, interior systems) and reopened in April 2026, the museum's 20th anniversary.
