When is the best time to schedule maternity photos?
We recommend scheduling your session between 28-34 weeks. This is when your bump is beautifully round but you're still comfortable enough to move and pose. That said, every pregnancy is different — we're happy to work with you at any stage.
What should I wear to my maternity session?
We recommend form-fitting dresses or tops that show off your bump. Flowing maxi dresses and gowns photograph beautifully. We also love a simple, fitted look for intimate shots. We provide a style guide and can help with outfit selection before your session.
Can my partner and other kids join the session?
Absolutely! Some of our favorite maternity photos include partners and siblings. There's no extra charge for including family members. We'll capture solo portraits of you, couple shots, and family groupings.
Do you offer studio or outdoor maternity sessions?
Both! Our historic Bagley Mansion studio provides elegant backdrops with professional lighting. Outdoor sessions are gorgeous during golden hour at parks, gardens, or the Detroit Riverwalk. Many clients book a combo session to get both looks.
