An editorial photographer in Detroit who works on your deadline
Editorial runs on deadlines, so we do too: same-day selects when you need them, and finished, hand-retouched files within 48 hours. Files are delivered at high resolution for print or web — we'll match the resolution, format, and color profile your outlet requires. You license the frames you use; there are no day-rate minimums.
How a sitting works
We start with the destination — the program, the profile, the jacket — because the destination decides the light and the frame. Then we scout the location, pull the permit if one is needed, and direct the sitting shot by shot. You see the frames as they're made, and selects can go out the same day.

The Detroit Symphony Orchestra has booked us for twelve shoots — stage work, portraits, and galas. That practice in demanding, dark-hall light is why conductors, opera singers, and working musicians sit for us when they need program and press images.

- In the studio it is $149 for the first finished image and $99 for each additional. On location — a stage, a theater, a newsroom, your workshop — it is $299 for the first image and $149 for each additional. You pay for the images you keep. See pricing.
- What counts as editorial photography?
- Portraits made to run somewhere: a press feature, a program, a book jacket, an album, a magazine profile. The subject is lit and directed like a story, not a directory photo.
- Can you shoot inside Detroit landmarks?
- Yes — that is most of the portfolio: the Michigan Theater, Orchestra Hall, the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Fisher Building. We handle location permits where they are required.
- How fast can you deliver for a deadline?
- Same-day selects when you need them, and finished, hand-retouched files within 48 hours. Tell us the deadline when you book and we'll plan the sitting around it.
- Who owns the usage rights?
- Delivered files are licensed for your press, publication, and marketing use. If a publication requires specific licensing language, we accommodate it — ask when you book.
