Model Headshots in Detroit
Digitals, headshots, and comp card images agencies can trust.
Clean light, honest retouching, and a photographer who knows what a submission package needs — for new faces building a first book and working models refreshing one.
Everything a submission package needs
One session covers the set: honest digitals for the agency, a casting-grade headshot, and the range shots a comp card is built from.
Agency digitals
Clean, simply lit, minimally retouched — the honest baseline shots every agency asks for before they will consider you. Fitted basics, plain backdrop, natural expression.
Headshots for castings
A beauty-forward headshot that reads at thumbnail size in a casting grid: sharp eyes, clean skin rendering, nothing between you and the lens.
Comp card images
The headshot plus the range shots a card needs — three-quarter, full length, one personality look — shot to sit together on a single card.
Acting headshots
Theatrical and commercial looks with real expression range. Shot to industry norms: honest retouching that still looks like you when you walk in the room.

Model headshot questions, answered
- What are digitals, and are they different from headshots?
- Digitals (also called polaroids) are the plain, honest photos agencies request: simple light, fitted basics, minimal or no makeup, little to no retouching — they need to see exactly what you look like today. A headshot is a finished, lightly retouched portrait for your comp card, casting profiles, and portfolio. We shoot both in one session and deliver them separately, labeled, so your submission package is ready to send.
- How much does a model headshot session cost?
- Every image is individually retouched, and you pay per finished image — $149 for the first and $99 for each additional in the studio ($299 and $149 on location). You shoot multiple looks and keep exactly the shots you want; a submission package usually only needs a handful of great ones.
- How much retouching do you do?
- Light, by design. Agencies and casting directors need the photo to look like the person who shows up — heavy skin-smoothing or reshaping gets submissions discarded. We clean up temporary blemishes and stray hairs, balance color and light, and leave your bone structure, skin texture, and features exactly as they are. Digitals get essentially none.
- What should I wear and how should I do my hair and makeup?
- For digitals: fitted solid basics (a plain tee or tank and well-fitting jeans), hair down then pulled back, minimal or no makeup. For headshots: two or three solid-color tops that fit close and don’t fight your face, and natural makeup that would survive daylight. Skip logos, busy patterns, and heavy contouring. We send a full prep guide when you book.
- Do you publish my photos?
- Not unless you explicitly opt in. Everything stays in your private gallery unless you give written permission — useful if you’re mid-submission and don’t want your set circulating.
- Can we shoot on location in Detroit?
- Yes — the $299 on-location rate covers the Riverwalk, Eastern Market, the Dequindre Cut, downtown streets, or any Detroit setting that fits the look your book needs. Editorial-feel outdoor frames round out a comp card that’s otherwise studio-clean.
